A band with the tagline of ‘ Creating Easy Listening For The Hard Of Hearing – Your Beloved Doomsday Rock Band‘ you just known straight away that they are going to be sure to deliver an onslaught of riffs straight to your ears on every release… and that is exactly what Barren Womb achieve time and time again.

Upon your first encounter with Barren Womb, you might assume that they are a trio or even a quartet, given the sheer volume and intensity of their tracks. But you’d be very wrong.. the band consists of just two Nordic Noise Giants! It’s truly remarkable what Tony Gonzalez (guitar and vocals) and Timo Silvola (drums and vocals) can achieve being just the two of them! Chemical Tardigrade is a 37-minute noisy masterpiece filled with catchy melodies, the trademark dual vocal attack we all adore, and gritty descents into nothing but pure madness.

They effortlessly blend a bluesy charm with the energy of noise rock and hardcore. There’s never a shortage of sludgy groove to pull you deeper into the ever-spiraling chaos. Their sound is a kaleidoscope of influences from Drive Like Jehu, Part Chimp, 68′ and Big Buisness. It’s minimalistic yet massive. Their tracks carry an impressive weight like no other, like a freight train hurtling towards you at full speed.
