Gouge Away – Stuck In A Dream Single

God damn! Holy shit! Wait, what?! Woah… These were just some of the words that came out of my mouth when I came across the news that the Florida post-hardcore band, Gouge Away, are dropping their first new album in six years. I’ve been head over heels for this band ever since I discovered them back in 2016. I’ve practically worn out every single track of theirs by this point, so you can imagine the pure ecstasy I’m feeling knowing that a new album is on the horizon!

The track ‘Stuck In A Dream’ is an absolute powerhouse of energy. The lyrics are simply the song title repeated throughout, so good luck trying to get that out of your head! If the rest of the album is even half as good as this track, it might just become one of my favourite albums of 2024… and it’s only January! The highly-anticipated, long-awaited follow-up to their 2018 album, ‘Burnt Sugar’, will be released on March 15th via Deathwish. These guys are seriously so underrated, so don’t sleep on it! If you’re into bands like Das Oath and Punch, you’re gonna love this.
